Sweet Pea Project Sister and Brothers Picnic 2015

I had a good time working with the kids and their families at the 2015 Sweet Pea Project Sisters and Brothers Picnic at Lititz Springs Park on June 6.  I also want to thank Amy and Laura for coming out, helping, and for having our own little hoop jam after things slowed down.

I think we had more kids last year that we did this year.  We were in a different spot than we were last year, too, but that’s ok.  I was just glad to get out and help out.

My back/hip held up pretty well.  I didn’t push myself.  I was sore a little bit on Sunday, but I think I should be be ok for taking it easy in class tonight.

Here are a few photos from Saturday.  Please take note of my hairdo if you haven’t seen it already.

Sweet Pea Project Sisters and Brothers Picnic

Wow, what a beautiful evening hooping!  The Spinspiration Hoop Troupe was there sharing hoopy happiness with the attendees of the Sweet Pea Project Sisters and Brothers Picnic in Lititz Springs Park in Lititz, Pennsylvania.  The kids, and adults, loved hooping and playing with the other flow toys Jenny brought.

It was also a sobering experience.  It was amazing to see how many green shirts with the names of passed on babies there were.  I can’t believe the losses these families have suffered by losing babies.  That is what the Sweet Pea Project does, they provide support and comfort to families who have lost babies after there were born or were stillborn.  I was happy to help provide happiness for these families.

Let’s focus on the fun!  Here are some of my photos from the evening.  I didn’t get too many because I was busy hooping and playing with the kids.

If you or someone you know have suffered the loss of a baby, please take a look at the Sweet Pea Project.

Sweet Pea Project

I don’t have any children, but I know people who have lost them either from stillbirth or lost them as born children. The Sweet Pea Project provides support for these families.

On June 7, 2014, the Spinspiration Hoop Troupe will be a part of the 4th Annual Sweet Peas Brothers And Sisters Picnic in Lititz, PA.  The aim of this picnic is to spread a little joy and happiness to people affected by the loss of a little one, especially the children.

There will be tons of fun stuff here.  Just look at the flyer!  Besides hooping, there will be face painting, balloon animals, and other things to bring a smile to anyone’s face.

If you are in the area and want register to attend, go to http://www.sweetpeaproject.org/picnic.  I’ll be there spreading hoopy happiness with Jenny and my fellow hoop troupe members.
