All photos were taken by Andy To. Thanks, Andy!
Photographer Andy To was on hand to take photos of the 2nd Annual Student Recital and Instructor Showcase on August 6, 2016, which I performed in. Andy took a lot of great photos, but I want to share the ones that he took of me and during the act that Jen C. and I did. If you want to see all the photos, and I encourage to to look at them, head on over to this Facebook album.
Again, these great photos were taken by Andy To. Thanks for viewing!
On Saturday evening, my husband Sam and I attended a bonfire that some friends of ours were having that included some flow, fire, music, and sky gazing. I did take some hoops and did some hooping myself before it got too dark.
Two of the guys, Sterling and Chris, along with Amy, did a little fire prop flow. I love the look of fire prop flow and the whooshing sound it makes, but I’m actually scared to try it myself. I was more than happy to take some photos, though! Here are a few of them.
Very cool stuff! If you want to see more, head on over to my Flickr album of photos of the evening’s festivities.
Sam and I were there WAY after our bedtime, and it was well worth it. We had a great time!
Every hooper has found at least a few photos of them doing the scrunchy hooper face, like it the photo above here. It’s either done from concentration, blinding sunlight, being caught off guard by the camera, or a combination of any of those things.
Even my early YouTube video have some great examples of me doing this.
I also find it funny that both the photo and the video are from the Outer Banks. Huh.
Hoopers, we’ve all done the concentration face thing. I would love it if you’d linked me some of your best examples in the comments! Let’s poke some fun at ourselves this April Fool’s Day. Have a good one!
Here Deb and I pose for a photo taken by my husband Sam. We were both tired from active performances!
